Psalm 19: Two Books
今日经文
Psalm 19
The psalm has two halves that look unrelated. The first is about the sky: it speaks without words, and its voice goes everywhere. The second is about the law: reviving, trustworthy, sweeter than honey.
They are placed together deliberately. Creation tells you that someone is there. It does not tell you his name, or what he wants, or whether he is for you.
The psalm ends with a request that the words of the writer mouth be acceptable — which is where both halves were heading all along.
